Flag Tag Cheat: For this cheat, go into the Living Daylights multiplayer scenario, using the Sniper Rifle as the weapon. Supposedly, the player holding the Flag is defenseless, but not with this trick. First, get a Sniper gun, and go to the butt of the weapon. Then, as you go for the Flag, hold down the Z button so you're swinging the end of the rifle around as you pass over it. Keep holding the button, and you can hold the flag and still have a weapon. It's not much, but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing. Cruise Control Tank: Take control of a tank in either the Runway or Streets, and press forward on the control stick. While moving the tank forward, press the aim button (R). The tank will now move forward by itself, at whatever speed you were going before you pressed R, and you can turn the turret side to side and pick off enemies! All Characters (multiplayer): This is definitely an odd cheat, that allows you to choose up to 64 characters in multiplayer. In addition to all the characters you would get otherwise, this code gives you a slew of people that worked on the game (mostly wearing tuxes, like Bond), plus a couple weird ones like the Biker and the Terrorist. On the character select screen, do the following 10 steps: (Note: "D-Pad" denotes the control pad, NOT the control stick) Hold the L and R buttons and press left-C Hold the L button and press up-C Hold the L and R buttons and press D-Pad left Hold the L button and press D-Pad right Hold the R button and press D-Pad down Hold the L and R buttons and press left-C Hold the L button and press up-C Hold the L and R buttons and press D-Pad right Hold the L and R buttons and press down-C Hold the L button and press D-Pad down The only problem with this code is that the characters, although pretty cool, don't stay on the character select screen after you turn off your N64. Plus the time it takes to get the code to work makes it hardly worth it. Steps to the Golden Gun: Alright...you wanted it, you got it: Here's the complete map to take once inside Scaramana's Shrine in Egyptian (level 20). Follow the arrows shown, making sure to only step on those blocks, or else you'll set off the deadly drone guns. Once you make it to the case enclosing the sacred Golded Gun, the rest of the level is simple! KEY: DG = Drone guns --> = Right <-- = Left /\ = Forward GG = Golden Gun DG DG GG --> /\ /\ DG <-- /\ DG /\ <-- /\ --> --> --> /\ /\ /\ <-- <-- (Copyright 1998 Andrew J. Bowman) Extra Levels/Modes: Extra Stages--If you beat the game on the Secret Agent setting, the Aztec Complex opens up. If you beat the game on the 00 Agent setting, the Egyptian stage opens up (and you kick ass). Extra Multiplayer Stages--After beating Bunker #2, the Archives, and the Caverns in Agent mode, the areas open up for multiplayer use for two-three players. After beating Egypt, you can use this stage as well. Extra Multiplayer Players--After defeating the game in Agent mode, villains such as Mayday, Oddjob, Jaws, and Baron Samedi, can be used for deathmatches, as well as all the enemy characters in the game. 007 Mode--This extra difficulty setting opens up after you get through every level (including the secret ones). This setting is a level editor! It rocks! You can configure everything, such as accuracy or health of enemies. No more: 1. Exit the air shaft and the bathroom as quickly as possible. Don't engage any soldiers. 2. As you run down the stair, switch weapons so your Remote Mines are selected. Plant one on a wooden crate outside the guard room where the remote door console is located. 3. Turn around and head towards the door underneath the stairs. As soon as you can, press A and B together to detonate the mine. 4. Switch to the Silenced PP7, open the door, shoot the guard, and get the Clearance Keycard and KF7 he'll drop. 5. Switch to the KF7, run to the guard room (which the Remote Mine explosion cleared for you), and trigger the remote door. You'll probably get a bit more ammo for your KF7 as you do this. 6. Head for the opened remote door, and keep running all the way to the hallway. Don't waste your time on any guards; keep moving to avoid as much damage as possible, especially if you're waiting for a door to open. 7. As you run down the hallway, stick as much to the left or right as possible to let the beams absorb some of the guards' shots. Again, don't engage the guards, and keep running. 8. After you're through the set of two doors, turn left towards the lab. Here, take out any guards that are in front of you. 9. Before you reach the closed remote door, be sure to take out the guard hiding on the left. The sound from the shots will cause the guard on the other side of the door to open it. 10. Shoot that guard and head up the stairs. Switch your weapon to the Remote Mines. 11. Run down the passage and dodge to avoid as many shots as possible. Don't engage the guards. At the corner with the three rooms, look for Dr. Doak. *Very Important Note: Dr. Doak's placement in this level is random. If he is not here, you will need to restart the level. You might have to do this many, many times. 12. As soon as Dr. Doak begins speaking to you, run towards the bottling room -- you don't need to stay with him. The Door Decoder will appear in your inventory automatically. 13. At the last turn before the bottling room, plant a Remote Mine next to the last set of guards. 14. Run past the guards, and set off the mine (press A and B) as you approach the door. Go to your inventory screen and use the Door Decoder to open the door. 15. Switch to your Remote Mines (you should have 3) and run down by the tanks. 006 will start talking to you. 16. Stand away from the tanks, and throw a mine between the first four tanks. Detonate it (A and B) in mid-air. You can avoid hurting 006 by tossing the mines high enough. 17. Move down to the next set of four undamaged tanks and repeat. 18. Move down to the last two tanks and repeat. 19. Open the door and exit the level. (Submitted by [email protected]) Extra Weapons: Beat the Cradle on Agent setting, get the Cougar Magnum under the cheat menu. This gun is loud, raunchy, and goes straight through enemies! Holds six bullets. Beat the Aztec level on the Secret Agent mode, and get the Military Laser. Beat Egyptian on the 00 Agent mode, and get the Golden Gun. This weapon isn't all that special, considering you have to reload after every shot, but all you need is one shot to kill any enemy, no matter where you hit them. Once you're at Egyptian, go ahead and and beat it on the 00 Agent mode in under six minutes, and pick up the All Weapons cheat--possibly the easiest cheat to obtain, and one of the coolest! With this cheat, you can get a pair of any gun in the game, plus the Taser, which isn't that powerful, but looks nifty and says "Taser Boy" on it! WEAPON LEVEL Magnum Beat game on Agent Laser Aztec Complex Golden Gun Egyptian Temple Gold PP7 Beat Cradle on Agent in 2:15 Silver PP7 Beat Train on 00 Agent in 5:25 Taser Beat Egyptian on 00 Agent in 6:00 Double Weapon Trick: In some of the levels, you can get weapons that can be paired, such as the Klobb, DD7, etc. To do this trick, which allows Bond to hold a different type of gun in each hand, you must get two sets of paired weapons, such as in the Archives. When you're ready, cycle through your guns until you've got the second pair of weapons, and then do the following: 1.Press and hold the A button. 2. Before you cycle forward, press Z twice. 3. Release the A button. 4. Press A twice. 5. Press Z to fire a couple of times while the guns are changing. Firing should lock one of the weapons on the screen, while getting a new gun in the other hand! Detonating Mines w/o Watch: This is a handy little trick I discovered while I was running around in the Control Center. Instead of getting caught offguard while trying to set off your remote mines with the detonator watch, just mashdown both A and B simultaneously, and *Boom*: all your mines go off! Warping Item Box: This trick is very useful if you are playing against someone who really knows their way around. It can be used only in multiplayer mode. First of all, start a new game in any level.(I think it works in all, but I've only tried the water caverns) Then get to an item box with anything in it. Then all you have to do is shoot the item box around until it is where you want it (behind doors and crates is the best. If you get the item box, have no fear. It will appear right where you got it from, and will never go back to its original spot (unless you put it there). (Submitted by [email protected]) Multiplayer Cloning: This trick lets you have two or three of the same character in Goldeneye's three or four player modes. Here's how to make three of the same character in a four-player game: 1. Go to a four-player match and pick the player you want to multiply as Player 4. 2. Pick any other characters for the other players. 3. Change the number of Players to 3, go the Characters screen again, and pick Player 4's character to be Player 3. Pick any characters for Player 1 and 2. 4. Change the number of Players from 3 to 2, go the Characters screen again, and pick Player 4's character to be Player 2. Pick any for Player 1. 5. Change to number of Players back to 4 and start the game. Players 2, 3, and 4 should be the same character! Hidden Gun in Train: Sick of using the same old weapons in the Train? Grab an RC-P90 (Agent) or a DD44 (Secret Agent) after blowing up the top box of the last two boxes on the left in the first train car. Not that you need an RC-P90 on Agent mode, but it's still pretty cool... Hidden Gun in Caverns: This secret isn't that useful, but if you want to see what having two AR33's look like, then here goes. When you get to the large room in Level 17 (caverns) where you have to contact Wade, go over to the area on the right and shoot one of the boxes sitting there. Strangely, some monitors and stuff will fly out of it--keep shooting them until finally a gun comes out. Get it, and you'll have double AR33's. Facility Vent: Ever needed a place to hide while battling it out in the Facility? How about hiding in the bathroom vent: First, go into the restroom stall that has the vent overtop of it. Then get on the toilet and go to the right side of it facing the wall. You should duck automatically. Then push and hold R and Right-C. Then push left on the control stick and you'll turn around in a circle. Once you have turned around about 380 degrees and your back is facing the stall wall you should pop up into the vent. Quickly push backwards and you're in the vent! (Submitted by Brian St.Amand) Hidden Mines: Try this cool little cheat out on unsuspecting friends in Multiplayer mode. Place a proximity (or remote) mine on top of a dead player's weapon or a box of ammo. Then pick up the weapon or ammo box, and the mine should have disappeared! When your friends come around, they'll be in for a nice invisible treat. Floating Mines: This code allows you to float mines anywhere! First go to the Bunker, preferably in mulitplayer with remote mines as your weapon. Plant eight mines on the TVs that hang from the ceiling. After every TV has a mine on it, go to the detonator and blow them all up. Now refill on mines and toss one. Nothing happens, but if you back up you will see a mine floating! You can plant mines anywhere in the Bunker after the code has been done. GameShark Codes (NOTE: For these cheats, you MUST have the InterAct GameShark device. Don't ask me how they work. Also, you must have achieved at least one of the time cheats, to open the cheat options menu.) | And here is some additonal cheats. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Falling Guards: | Go to the Control Center (preferably with some cheats on) and go get Natalya to realign the satellite. Then, instead of waiting around while the alarm goes off and stuff, head up to the top floor (where the secret body armor is). Now watch as all those guards that normally come down the stairs when you're protecting Natalya fall from the ceiling! Every few seconds another guard will appear on one of the two sides of the top floor. Dead Natalya: Get either all-guns or 2x Grenade Launcher, beat the Archives, letting Natalya live. Just before you go through the windows, turn your back to the window very closely, and shoot a grenade at the front of your feet. You will be blown out of the window. Natalya will come out in the animation dead, and you still win! (Submitted by [email protected]) Bouncing Guard: First thing you need to do is go into the first surface level with invisibility on. Make your way to the ventilation tower (where you exit) and shoot off all the locks. Next, try to lure some kind of enemy up there with you. Once he's up there try to get him to fall down the shaft. Once he does, just watch. He should start bouncing aroung in there like popcorn. As he's bouncing around he'll also keep contantly shrinking and expanding in size. Eventually he'll be bounced back up to where you are. That looks really weird too. (Submitted by Keith Reynolds) Telekinetic Natalya: This is a pointless but fun-to-watch glitch: Go to the control center and clear out the beginning room, and then get Natalya from the elevator. Then, when she's at the computer terminal, shoot her in the legs so she gets knocked back away from the computer. No matter how far away she is from it, she'll continue to move her arms and type! Run Through Wall: Here's how to make Bond run through solid concrete. Turn on Turbo mode and go the Dam. When you get to the little bunker with the two guards shooting out of the opening, run towards it. Hit the bunker head-on, and if you have enough momentum, you'll go straight through the wall! (You may have to keep pushing up against it for a few seconds.) Trevelyan's Sarcasm: This is a cool trick: Go to the Facility with All Weapons on. In the bottling room, when you meet up with Trevelyan, shoot him in the head with the Golden Gun. As he's falling, he'll cry out something like, "So the golden boy's a traitor. How ironic..." The irony, of course, is that 006 was supposed to be the traitor. Plastic Explosion: First turn invincibility on and then go to the Silo. Pull out your plastic and throw it anywere in the room, and then pull out your pp7 and shoot the plastic. It should blow up without hurting you and you are surrounded with a huge explosion. Now run through the level and wach all of men the blow up. (Submitted by Dan the Code Man and Steve the Kingpin of Codes) Go Back Into Train: In the train level, when you get out of the train (natalya does not have to live) go out of the train and kill the guys behind the crates and go to the left hill. After the train blows up you can go back in! (Submitted by James and Kris) Bond In a Fireball: In depot on either secret agent or 00 agent you have to destroy the illegal arms place. In there you can find lots of weapons one of which is proximity mines. Take the proximity mines to trevelyan's train open the door and throw them in making sure you cleared the guards out first. Then walk in the train, and the end animation will show bond sitting in the middle of a giant fireball. (Submitted by [email protected]) Floating Bond: For this glitch to work you need the tiny bond cheat, (invincibility or invisibility will help too). Go to any level with stairs. Go to the top of the stairs and duck, and when you go down the stairs you will be floating. (Submitted by Colin Moore, [email protected]) Give Bond Three Hands: This trick isn't useful in the game, but it's a pretty cool glitch. First, you must have the all-weapons cheat on. Then, scroll through your weapons until you've got double lasers. At this point, press A, and before it switchest to the watch laser, press Z+A (to scroll backwards), quickly release, and then press and hold Z. If done correctly, you should now have one hand holding a laser, and two more controlling the watch laser! Besides being a cool combination of weapons, this just looks really weird. (Thanks to ViRuS) Dam Paintball Glitch: First, get the paintball cheat and go to the Dam level. Go down onto the docks behind the dam and cover the wall of the dam with paintballs. Now go over to where you would normally bungy jump off (but don't jump). Look down and look around at the walll below you. It shoud be covered with paintballs. (Submitted by Brian Hill, [email protected]) Facility Bullet Hole Glitch: Put one person in the restroom facing the door with either a laser or a magnum. Put the other person in the basement in the room with the little platform with the stairs on it and face the wall. Have the person in the restroom fire the gun at the door and the person down stairs will see bullet holes appear. (From [email protected]) Floating Objects in Runway: Here's one of the weirdest things I've discovered in GoldenEye. Go to the Runway on any difficulty with all-weapons on and select the sniper rifle as your weapon. Next, look down the runway at a guard or something using your scope. Zoom in all the way (using your C-pad), and the screen should screw up up royally! Guards, drums, and other objects will slide up or down the screen with this very peculiar glitch. Frigate Hostage Glitch: This is a humorous glitch to see when you've got the invisibility cheat. Go to the Frigate, on any difficulty, with the invisibility cheat on. Then, go to wherever there's a enemy guarding a hostage, but instead of shooting the guard, shoot the hostage. Strangely, the guard won't leave his stance, even though the hostage isn't there anymore. He'll continue to aim his weapon at nothing, and then turn around and aim in the other direction, for no apparent reason! Oh well... Boxful of Books: You've probaby already seen this trick, but if not, here goes: With or without cheats, go to the first Surface level, on any difficulty. Head for the two cabins that are fenced in (with a bunch of boxes and drums in front of them). Go into the one on the left, and shoot the box in the left corner. Instead of nothing happening, about a dozen red books come flying out! CCTV Movie Box: You've probably already seen this one, but if not, it's pretty interesting. Just go to the second Bunker, grab the CCTV tape that you need for one of your requirements, and go to your watch. From here, highlight the CCTV, and instead of some ordinary-looking tape popping up, it's the GoldenEye movie cover! Can you say "extra advertising?" Fun With Knives: Did you know...that holding down the fire button while using throwing knives will draw them back, so when you're ready to throw them, all you have to do is let go? They're much easier to use this way. Ever tried using the throwing knives on the water in GoldenEye? The best place to witness this trick is in the water behind the dam (below the watch towers). Instead of the knives going into the water, they hit it, bounce, and then sit on top of the water! If you try to shoot them with a gun, they magically re-appear on the pier, strangely. Here's another glitch using knives: Go up to the last (highest) catwalk inside the Silo, and throw knives straight up into the air towards the ceiling. Instead of hitting the ceiling, they go right through it, and then come back down on top of you! Gas Leak Glitch: For this oddity, go to the Facility on any setting. Then, puncture one of the gas tanks in the final room (where 006 is), without getting stuck in the room (using a remote mine or shooting through the glass w/ a silver PP7). After that, no matter where you run to in the Facility, you can't escape the green gas, even though you never even opened the room with the gas in it! This also happens if you put a mine on the cans in the big lab room (with the stairs in the four corners) and set them off after you've already left. That's some fast moving stuff... Scientist Shoot-out: This is one of the coolest tricks to do in GoldenEye. Simply find a scientist, such as in the Facility, Silo, or Caverns. Then, using the sight, aim at the poor fellow's hand, leg, arm, etc., and hit him a couple times, but don't kill him. He may try to run away, but a couple gun shots in the air will stop him from running. Anyway, if you hit him a couple times, he'll get pissed and pull out a DD44 or even a grenade and go after you! Shoot Tank Shells (without cheat): This is a pretty cool glitch that works only in the tank levels (Streets or Runway). You also need to switch the infinite ammo code on. Go to the tank and climb on top. Switch your weapon to the one immediately before the tank shells. Then, while switching to the tank shells, jump off the tank. If you did it right, Bond's weapon will still be switched to tank shells -- you're ready to fire some "big ones" from your forehead. (from IGN64.com) Floating Lock in Dam: Using the all-weapons (or enemy-rockets) cheat, select the rocket launcher. Fire one at the fenced gate with a lock on it, which leads to the dam. The lock will blow up, but when you go to open the gate, the broken lock will continue to hang in mid-air! It will stay there no matter what you do to it, and you can even stack mines on top of it.
